Sometimes (or at least initially, because I stopped when I realized it was pointless for me) I would write notes in a meeting and hit the checkbox to create an action item. I thought they were getting there with the “reminders” functionality, but this is still just one task item per note. One of the things I’ve talked with friends about is the inability of Evernote to pull my checkbox task times to one place. (Now I’ll probably start moving back to more notebooks…) I’ve gone back and forth about how to use it, currently I’m opting for a few notebooks and a lot of tags. You can create a ton of notebooks and organize using things like tags. It is great to easily take notes and always have them with you. I use it for notes in meetings and at church. Now, as a disclaimer, I’ve not actually used this for realtime work yet (just testing) but I’m pretty excited about the possibilities. In this case, it isn’t an app for a mobile device (well not really) but a webapp that integrates with Evernote. I found a new app… Surprise right! Well for those of you who know me personally, it won’t be.
